FAQs about finding a new job

What is the exact process?

1. At the first meeting we review your current resume, your answers to the homework document they provided and any past cover letters you have written to get to know you and what you want types of jobs are a fit. If you’re not sure what you want to do, we will suggest aptitude tests and personality indicator assessments for you to take prior to the next meeting.

2. The second meeting is reviewing the assessments or conducting a head shot session and reviewing the new resume we have drafted. If good to go, we load it up to LinkedIN along with the new headshot.

3. The third meeting, we both will search for positions that fit your skills and desires and we draft a cover letter for review for each of these. Once the letters feel like they represent you well, we oversee you applying and help in any way.

4. The fourth meeting is 2 hours of intense interview coaching reviewing 15 pages of questions and the curating answers from your past to get you crisp, fluid and ready for any interviews that present themselves.

5. Meetings then continue weekly or more often, schedule permitting, finding new positions and applying until a job offer is received.

6. The entire process typically takes between 2 - 4 months from start to finish to land the perfect job! We are with you the entire step of the way, flying wingman.

7. We provide the additional benefit of asking all of our past, present and future clients to always recommend any of our clients for positions in their company, or to which they are connected, so you will have an entire community in Austin pulling for you and recommending you!

What if this is not my first job? Do you help older more experienced people?

We have helped plenty of people who are re-entering the job market. Age does not matter. (See Debbie, Pam and Lynda's testimonials!) The rules still apply- without a clean resume you are less likely to get a call back. Without us, you will have to sift through prospective employers alone. Without practicing with us, you are less likely to be on your game during those interviews. Again, age does not matter. We are willing to help anyone who needs it.

I cannot afford it right now. Can you help me and let me pay you over time?

The cost may seem daunting right now without a job. We will work with you to structure a payment plan that works for you.

Where do we meet?

We can meet you in our home offices centrally located or at a nearby coffee shop if you prefer.
